Opinion: Investment in America’s submarines is essential for preventing war with China

Recent public opinion polling has suggested that a majority of American voters think there is at least a 50-50 chance of war with China happening within the next 10 years. In the same poll, almost 80 percent of voters believe we should do everything we can to prevent a war from happening. Continuing to revitalize U.S. submarine-building and our maritime industrial base, we provide one of the surest guarantees that we will continue to prevent one from ever happening.
