USS Jimmy Carter: The U.S. Navy Has a ‘Seawolf’ Spy Submarine That Can’t Be Matched 10 December 2025

 The USS Jimmy Carter (SSN-23) is the US Navy’s most expensive attack submarine, costing over $3.5 billion to produce. The ship’s heavy modifications grants this Seawolf-class boat greater capabilities in speed, stealth, and weaponry — even in comparison to most modern boats. This ship is the third and final submarine of the Seawolf class.
